ENL Agri looks after the ENL group’s significant land resources which spread over the Moka–Saint Pierre region in the central part of the island, and in Savannah in the south. It leads ENL’s agricultural and farming operations.
ENL Agri remains committed to sustainable agriculture and as such, it stays focused on value-added activities, reducing costs, optimising yields and minimising impact on the environment. Sugar cane is the main cash crop produced, with an average of 350 000 tons harvested each year.
Food crops, ornamental plants as well as broiler chicken are also part of the production mix. The company operates a modern packaging facility and has developed the Field Good brand to market choice quality vegetables grown in green houses.
Ornamental plants are the second most important cash crop grown by ENL Agri. Production averages some 200 000 different plants, grown and commercialised under La Pépinière brand name. It includes flowers, foliage, instant lawn, shrubs and trees, cultivated over more than 40 acres of open field nurseries and shade houses.
ENL Agri is also a specialist service provider through its subsidiaries, namely, ENL Landscapers, Agrex and Sygeco.
